| What are your lead times? |
Lead times vary by product. Not all models are stocked, but our turnaround time for MTO slides is competitive. Contact us for details. |
| Do you make gauges? |
You may be familiar with "Automation Gages." That is where the "AG" comes from. What is now AG Slides started out making gages, so we know a lot about precision. Over time, however, our engineering and manufacturing expertise became focused on producing linear bearings. That is our business today - with a long history of experience. |
| Is the travel centered? |
Yes. From a centered position, the carriage moves one-half the specified travel in either direction. |
| What do I do if your standard hole patterns do not suit my application? |
Call or e-mail us. We can provide holes in most any pattern and size. If you fax us a sketch (585-544-4998), we will respond promptly with price and delivery. |
| Is there a local sales representative I can contact? |
You can contact us directly by phone, fax or e-mail. We will be glad to let you know how to contact your local rep, or work directly with you if there is not yet a distributor in your area. Contact us directly at (800-922-0329), or fax to (585-544-4998), or agslides@qvii.com to e-mail us your requirements. |
| Do these slides need lubrication? |
Not normally. In fact, lubrication can sometimes do more harm than good. Certain installations may require lubrication, such as high acceleration/deceleration conditions and high traversing speeds. To get a definitive answer to this question, we would need to know more about your application. Feel free to ask for our recommendation. |
| High accuracy is not as important to me as is low friction. Do you have lower cost slides? |
The AG EasySlider series addresses requirements such as this. We think the price of an EasySlider compares favorably with other slides. Yet unlike others, the EasySlider incorporates corrosion resistant construction, more bearings per assembly, and better precision. The coefficient of friction in an EasySlider ball slide is typically about .003. |
